🕉 Witch Tip #3 🕉
“I Am that I Am.”
Your Soul is your most powerful tool in witchcraft. Fancy altars, herbs, incense, crystals, oils, cloths, candles, statues, and robes are all fine and dandy, but when it comes down to it, all you need to cast a spell is yourself.
Extravagant tools are nice to have - and they certainly can contribute energy to a spell and create the proper atmosphere for altered states of mind - but they are not necessary. Ultimately, the strength of your mind and soul can overcome any perceived limitations in the physical world.
You are the Universe, and the Universe is you: As Above, So Below. All things that have been, are, or could be are all within you. If you trust yourself enough, and with a strong enough will, you can create anything out of nothing.
Blessed Be 💕

First Blue Moon Total Lunar Eclipse in 150 Years
Note: The following images and text are a cut & paste from the referenced URL:
The first eclipse of 2018 will be a lunar one that comes at the very end of the month, on Jan. 31.

It will be a total eclipse that involves the second full moon of the month, popularly referred to as a Blue Moon. Such a skywatching event hasn’t happened for more than 150 years.
The eclipse will take place during the middle of the night, and the Pacific Ocean will be turned toward the moon at the time. Central and eastern Asia, Indonesia, New Zealand and most of Australia will get a fine view of this moon show in the evening sky. Heading farther west into western Asia, the Indian subcontinent, the Middle East and Eastern Europe, the eclipse will already be underway as the moon rises.
To the east, Alaska, Hawaii and northwestern Canada will see the eclipse from start to finish. Moonset will intervene for the rest of North and Central America, however.
Below, we provide a timetable for the main stages of the moon’s passage through the Earth’s shadow for six time zones — one for Hawaii (HST), one for Alaska (AKST) and four across the U.S and Canada: Pacific (PST), Mountain (MST), Central (CST) and Eastern (EST). All times are a.m.
Along the U.S. West Coast, the total phase begins at 4:51 a.m. PST. The farther east you go, the closer the start of the partial phases will coincide with moonrise. Along the U.S. Atlantic Seaboard, for instance, the moon will have only just begun to enter the darkest part of Earth’s shadow, the umbra, at 6:48 a.m. EST when it will disappear from view below the west-northwest horizon. The duration of the total phase is 77 minutes, with the moon tracking through the southern part of the Earth’s shadow. So, during totality, the moon’s lower limb will appear much brighter than the dark upper limb.
How unusual are Blue Moon eclipses? To answer that question, we consulted the reference book Canon of Lunar Eclipses, 1500 B.C. - A.D. 3000, by Bao-Lin Liu and Alan D. Fiala (Willmann-Bell Inc., 1992).
After this year, the next time that a Blue Moon passes through Earth’s umbra will be on Dec. 31, 2028, and, after that, on Jan. 31, 2037. Both of these eclipses will be total. Before 2017, there was an 8 percent partial eclipse on Dec. 31, 2009, but, for a total eclipse of a Blue Moon, we have to go all the way back to March 31, 1866.
So, the upcoming eclipse on Jan. 31 will be the first total eclipse of a Blue Moon in nearly 152 years!

Things people forget to tell you about auras
- What your aura looks like depends on other internal and external factors - Your mental, physical, and spiritual state all can affect the way your aura is presented. Experienced readers may even be able to tell you what these factors may be, but with that remember that everyone’s aura can present a little differently
- They do not stay the same color - They can change daily or over years. These changes can be slight, only varying in shades, or drastic and switch colors entirely. Each color can have its own meaning that repeats with a majority of people, but this also can be specific to each person so there is no real exact meaning of each color.
- Sizes and shapes vary - Some people have big auras, some people have ones that stay close to their body, or a combo in between. Mine for example stays close to my body the majority of the time with the exception of my hands which for whatever reason have a much more spread out aura than the rest of my body. But just like everything else, your size of your aura can shift due to other factors.
- Different parts of your body can have different colors at the same times - Sometimes people may have colors on localized parts of their body. They can have a color floating above their head, have hands different from the rest of their body, or be split down the middle of the body. Can being the key word, since some people will have the same color throughout their aura.
- Some people’s auras are harder to see than others - This can be because it’s close to their body, or because for whatever reason their aura is less opaque making it difficult to see any color. So don’t be discouraged if you can’t see it as easily on certain people. Also, the background and lighting affects the way auras can be seen. It will (usually) be easier to see an aura in a gently lit area with a flat color background than it will be, for example, hiking in the woods.
- Not everyone “sees” auras the same - Some people see them in the physical around the body, some see it in their mind’s eye, some people see it with their eyes closed, and some just have a feeling of knowing. If you want to see them, start by trying to figure out which method seems to best suit you.
- It isn’t always for everyone - Like all other aspects of magic and spirituality, not everyone will be the same with their abilities. Some people will click with it right away, some may be able to do so with hard work and practice, and some people just may not see them. But if you can’t, don’t feel discouraged. There are other ways to sense things about people’s energy and aura that don’t revolve around sight. Practicing and playing around with different forms energy work can help teach you how to explore your abilities and from there. Odds are it will lead you to something else just as exciting and feel much more natural to you.

Starfishes are a sea witches pentagram! Use it’s symbolism for the same things you’d use a traditional pentagram for (protection, the elements, magical energy, etc.) ⭐
